Melt and refine
Metal is melted above a thousand degrees and refined until what remains of impurity is less than one part in ten thousand.
Maison Orven · Switzerland
One furnace, one maker, one numbered bar. ORVEN refines 999.9 gold in Switzerland, and casts only a limited number each year.
Manifeste
We do not chase volume.— Maison Orven
Every bar begins in a single furnace,
and ends in one pair of hands.。

La Signature
The minted bar keeps a Swiss proportion. The face carries the ORVEN mark, the reverse a Swiss cross. An assay card sits inside the capsule, so the bar identifies itself the moment it is opened.
Le Savoir-Faire
From furnace to finished bar, every stage is completed in the same house and signed by the same bench.

Metal is melted above a thousand degrees and refined until what remains of impurity is less than one part in ten thousand.

The gold falls into the mould in one steady arc. Speed and temperature decide the skin of the bar, and its character.

Once cool, the blank is rolled and struck. Edges are brought to a tolerance the eye does not catch.

Each bar receives its own number and is entered in the book. It can be inherited, and it can be traced to the day it left the fire.

L'Essai
Fineness, weight, number and the date of assay are written on the certificate delivered with the bar. We describe fineness against the public standards of the international market.
These marks explain public standards. They are not a claim of membership.
Responsabilité
Every lot is checked for origin before it enters the house. Compliance is written into melting, striking and delivery, not into an annual report.
Clientèle Privée
ORVEN keeps no retail counter. An advisor arranges a private viewing and, in that room, presents the bar, the certificate and the price.
